PEN OR SPOT TEST

This method can be used to test the substance itself or a surface on which there may be residue. The advantages to this testing is that it is quick and easy.  Disadvantages are that it is less accurate and has a limited number of narcotics that it can test for, this is similar to what law enforcement uses in the field

MARQUIS REAGENT TESTING

This type of testing is used on the substance itself.  The advantages to this test is that it is the most accurate of the 3 testing methods and it covers most illegal substances.  The disadvantages are that it is the most time consuming and can be hard to interpret results if the substance is impure.

FENTANYL TEST STRIP

A Fentanyl test strip is used to test a substance for the presence of Fentanyl.  It is very quick and nearly impossible to misinterpret.  This test will only test for Fentanyl and it will not cover any other narcotics.
